By adding nutrients to the soil and using new methods for water retention Terraform brings land back into productive use. Solar powered algal growth ponds produce biomass for fertiliser, fresh water for irrigation, water retaining gels and valuable by products for the food and medical industries. With the biomass capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and commercially attractive by-products, Terraform benefits local communities and helps combat global warming. |
 |  | | Global warming is the greatest threat facing mankind. Its climate change consequences are already affecting every region of the world and the problems created are set to get worse, year on year, as temperatures continue to rise. The increase in the planet’s temperature is caused by increasing levels of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere which are the product of the burning of fossil fuels such as coal and oil.
